As we watch more really big events closing, and more people able to do cool grassroots events, I wonder what the future of the conference/convention is going to be? I hope we see more regional events that draw locally instead of flying people all over. Globally networked organizations such as Fedora can provide consistent value for different events, essentially recycling the same message and materials, while making it fresh for the Ambassadors and event attendees.
